Gate Entrance & Security

Entering the Gate:

Before arriving at the Plantation, you’ll have received the necessary information from your rental agency or property owner that you’ll need for check-in. They will issue you a Rental Agreement that you must sign and return. They will then register you at the gatehouse. All members of your party must be listed on the Rental Agreement so that everyone is registered. Unregistered individuals will be turned away.

As part of the reservation process, you will pay an $100.00 entrance fee directly to your rental agency or property owner. They are responsible for collecting the fee and forwarding the signed Rental Agreement to the Security Gate. Avoid delays at the Security Gate by ensuring you provide all the necessary documents to your rental agency or property owner before your arrival.

Once you arrive at the Plantation, Security will issue an access pass that you must display on the dash of your vehicle at all times. Renters are not allowed to invite others into the Plantation who are not renting here. Security strictly enforces this rule.

SGPOA security officers provide 24-7 services to manage access through the gate. They also perform roving street patrols within the Plantation in order to maintain the serene spirit of the community. Their services help protect our unique coastal community; they support the “Leave No Trace” policy by removing all personal belongings left on the beach overnight. Security also enforces other community association security covenants, including traffic and parking violations, disruptive noises, non-leashed animals, and other behaviors that interfere with the enjoyment of the community. Plantation Security works closely with local law enforcement and First Responders in emergency situations.
