Chill at the Beach

The Plantation’s pristine white sand beaches invite you to slow down and savor the beauty of St. George Island. Take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, build sandcastles, play beach volleyball, toss a frisbee, fly a kite, swim in the Gulf, enjoy a picnic, cast a fishing line, or simply stretch out and soak up the Florida sunshine.

Every property within The Plantation offers convenient beach access via scenic nature trails along Leisure Lane and 31 community boardwalks located at the ends of the T roads. However you choose to spend your day, your next beach adventure is just steps away.

Parking for Beach Access is available at four locations:

  • Sea Pine Pickleball Courts on the east end
  • Resort Village Parking Lot for Gulf Beach Park
  • Plantation Clubhouse on Magnolia in the center of the community
  • Jetty Parking on Leisure Lane before entrance to Schooners' Landing on the west end

Never park on road shoulders or on side streets:

Leave No Trace

All beach equipment must be removed from the beach every night to protect wildlife and other beachgoers. Failure to do so can lead to confiscation of equipment and fines.

Beach Conditions

Be safe! The ocean is powerful, and conditions can change rapidly. If the surf looks rough, please check the current beach conditions from Franklin County. Dangerous rip currents can be present, even when the water looks calm. Double red flags mean the water is closed to swimming and wading. There are no lifeguards on Plantation beaches.
