About the Plantation

St. George Plantation is a coastal gated community located on St. George Island in the Gulf of Mexico along the Florida Panhandle. Five miles of pristine, white-sand beaches, the famous Apalachicola Bay, towering pines, and low-density housing, invite you to enjoy the best of sun-washed island life. At night, you’ll gaze with awe at the star-studded dark southern sky.

Our award-winning community affords diverse neighborhoods connected by 12 miles of paved pathways winding through natural terrain. Over half of our 500 plus single-family homes serve as vacation rentals.

About 100 owners consider the Plantation their primary residence. Whether full- or part-time, most of our homeowners identify as islanders and actively engage in charitable and civic events in the broader Forgotten Coast community.

From our sandy Gulf side beach to the bayside’s deep water cove, estuarial habitat, and maritime forest, you’ll find an exceptional balance of nature, beautiful homes and social and recreational activities in the Plantation.
